Meet Alaia

Hi, I’m Devin (she/her/hers).

I’m a laid-back, direct, and compassionate therapist who values honesty, curiosity, and collaboration. I created Emerging Wellness as a space for therapy that feels grounded, human, and steady, especially for people who have felt rushed, dismissed, or overwhelmed in other settings.

My work is shaped by both professional training and lived experience with illness and trauma, which guides how I show up with care, humility, and respect.

My Approach

Authenticity

Authenticity involves honoring your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without pressure to perform, fix, or minimize them. Therapy provides a space to explore what is genuinely present, allowing insight and growth to develop in a way that feels honest, respectful, and sustainable.

Empathy

Empathy is at the center of how therapy unfolds here. It means listening deeply, without judgment, and seeking to understand your experience from your perspective. Therapy is a space where your feelings, reactions, and struggles are met with care and respect, allowing you to feel seen, understood, and supported as you navigate change.

Measureable Growth

Measurable growth means paying attention to the small but meaningful changes that add up over time. Therapy supports this by helping you notice progress, build self-trust, and recognize shifts in how you relate to yourself and the world around you. Change in grounded in lived experience, not pressure or perfection.

What Therapy Feels Like Here

  • A space where you can speak freely without judgment.

  • Support that moves at your pace.

  • Gentle accountability that encourages growth.

  • Care rooted in authenticity and compassion.

  • A relationship built on trust and safety.

This is honestly the first time in therapy that I’ve felt truly seen, heard, and supported.

Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

Devin provides a range of therapy services tailored to individual needs, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, and stress management. Each session is personalized to address specific concerns and promote overall well-being.

How do I get started?

You can begin by scheduling a free consultation by calling Devin at 651-204-8683. If Devin is unavailable, please leave a voicemail. Voicemail messaged are HIPAA-conscious, and your call will be returned as soon as possible.

What kinds of concerns do you work with?

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic stress, chronic illness, burnout, ADHD, and long-standing patterns that leave them feeling overwhelmed or exhausted. You do not need to have a specific diagnosis or a clear goal to begin.

Do you offer telehealth or in-person sessions?

All sessions are offered via secure telehealth only. This allows you to attend therapy from a space where you feel most comfortable and grounded, whether that’s your home, your office, or anywhere else that feels right for you.

Do you accept insurance?

Emerging Wellness is a self-pay practice. This model allows therapy to stay focused on you, your goals, and your pace, without the limitations or requirements of insurance involvement. Many clients choose self-pay for the added privacy, flexibility, and autonomy it offers.

What are your fees?

Session fees are discussed during the initial consultation so you have clear, transparent information before moving forward. If you have questions about affordability or payment options, you’re welcome to bring those into our conversation.

Are you licensed?

I am independently licensed as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). I am also practicing under clinical supervision while completing required hours toward LPCC licensure. This supervision supports ethical, high-quality care and ongoing professional development.

What is your approach to therapy?

My approach is trauma-informed and body-aware, blending somatic work, DBT skills, and parts-based approaches. Therapy is collaborative and paced with care, guided by your nervous system and lived experience rather than a one-size-fits-all model.

Do I need to know what I want to work on before starting?

Not at all. Many people come to therapy feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or unclear about where to begin. We start with what’s present and build clarity together over time.

What does a first session look like?

The first session is a chance to get to know each other, talk about what brought you in, and begin building a sense of safety and connection. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. We move at a pace that feels supportive and manageable.

How long does therapy last?

The length of therapy varies from person to person. Some clients work with me for a shorter period around a specific concern, while others choose longer-term therapy for deeper exploration and growth. We check in regularly to make sure the work continues to feel aligned.

Who is a good fit for Emerging Wellness?

Emerging Wellness may be a good fit if you’re looking for therapy that feels grounded, relational, and human. Many clients value privacy, flexibility, and care that honors both emotional and physical experiences.
