Approach

My Approach

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and deeply trauma-informed. I blend body-aware, somatic-oriented care to support safe reconnection with your body, DBT skills to build calm, clarity, and emotional regulation, and person-centered, strengths-based work where your story leads the way.

I am currently working towards certification in Somatic Experiencing, which shapes how I pay attention to the nervous system in our work together. This means moving at a pace that supports safety and integration, noticing patterns of stress and activation, and helping you build capacity for steadiness and resilience over time.

Therapy is guided by your nervous system rather than external expectations. There is no pressure to rush or perform. We move intentionally and with care, allowing insight and change to unfold in ways that feel supportive and sustainable.

Consent, collaboration, and attunement remain central throughout the process. I am not here to fix you, but to support you in listening more closely to yourself, building self-trust, and creating a life that works with your needs, values, and capacity. My goal is to offer tools, insight, and a grounded presence so you can feel more like yourself again, even when life feels messy or overwhelming.

My Method

Therapy is structured but flexible, offering both depth and direction.

We begin by clarifying what feels most pressing and what feels most important to you. From there, sessions unfold through a combination of reflection, practical skill-building, and body-based awareness. Some days may focus on understanding patterns or processing experiences. Other days may be more skill-oriented, building tools to support regulation, communication, or decision-making.

Drawing from my training in Somatic Experiencing, we gently notice what is happening in your nervous system in the moment. This helps us work with activation in manageable ways and build capacity over time. Rather than pushing through distress, we develop steadiness and clarity that can be carried into daily life.

We revisit goals regularly to ensure the work remains relevant and meaningful. Progress is tracked through real-world shifts such as improved regulation, clearer boundaries, stronger self-trust, or changes in long-standing patterns.

Therapy here is active and intentional. It is a space to think, feel, notice, practice, and integrate. Over time, small shifts compound into meaningful change.
